From the I've been meaning to blog about this for a while files, this link from a President's Day promotion by Audible offers up audio book playlist suggestions for some of our most famous leaders. Among those of interest, Teddy Roosevelt's audio book suggestions (including Heart of Darkness), Bill Clinton's audio book suggestions (including Fast Food Nation), and George W. Bush's audio book suggestions (including The Iraq Study Group Report).

On the Car playlist issue
There's nowhere to comment on your old blog, I'm so glad you moved!
Just a thought on the car songs: I'm not familiar with all of those songs, but one thing that's always interested me is how car names are even chosen. I wonder if anything could be done with the different meanings of "coupe" or "corvette" with their forestry or sloop-of-war meanings, respectively, within their own lists and the cultural meanings attached to muscle cars in the first place?
Just a thought-- I think you've found a lot of potential with that idea.
meanings and motifs
Great thought to transition toward some richer meanings associated with cars. Or feelings, or whatever. Just get away from the literal title as the way of thinking about pieces of music and their meanings. Thanks for commenting. I'm still trying to figure out how best to set up the blog. Will have to work to get it so people can leave their names.
